Mike Shopping Mall

Mike Shopping Mall has a strange kind of fame: it’s one of the few malls in Pattaya with its own Wikipedia page, and a fixture on pretty much every “fake markets in Thailand” list in English. That reputation alone explains a lot of the search volume — the actual experience is a lot less exciting than the hype suggests.

The mall has independent vendors selling wall-to-wall knockoff sneakers, bags and branded tees, plus a small supermarket, money changers and a department store. The genuinely odd bit is the open-air swimming pool on the roof with a sea view (250 ฿ for adults, 150 ฿ for children; 11:00 AM–8:00 PM) and the beer garden with live music by the entrance.

We checked it in person — you can haggle, the AC works, but it’s the same stuff you’d find on any street stall, just indoors. The upper floors and food court feel half-dead these days, reviews are split, and Central Marina Outlet is not a five-minute walk away: it is near Terminal 21, while the walk from Mike Shopping Mall is about 2.1 km, or roughly 30 minutes. Central Marina is the better choice for genuine discounted brands instead of copies.
