Arguably the most famous viewpoint in Pattaya, it’s a classic stop on the tourist trail. During the day, the concrete can be scorching, but in the evenings, a colorful crowd gathers: tourists with cameras, joggers, and couples admiring the sunset. The letters themselves are a bit worn by time, but the view of the city bustle and Bali Hai Pier makes up for it. It’s completely free and always accessible.
The site is located on Phra Tamnak Hill, near the Big Buddha, making it convenient to combine visits. People arrive on foot or by bike. Despite its popularity, it doesn’t feel crowded like Jomtien Beach does—the space is ample and there’s room for everyone to snap a photo. The vibe is more contemplative, especially when the city lights up below.

💡 Be cautious late at night. Reviews often mention packs of stray dogs that can be aggressive in the dark.
💡 It's nearly impossible to photograph the entire «Pattaya City» sign with yourself in the shot—the letters are too large and the platform in front is narrow. Prepare for creative angles.
💡 There's almost no car parking. You can leave a bike along the road but be ready for a short uphill walk.
