The Avenue Pattaya is an open-air shopping complex on Second Road where cheap street food, a decent supermarket and a cinema all sit side by side.
It’s not a classic mall with ice-cold AC — more of an outdoor urban space. During the day it’s pretty quiet and empty: some places are still closed, only Watsons, Robin Hood Tavern and Starbucks are really open, and most visitors are just sitting around eating. Things pick up at sunset, when the square in front of the main building turns into a lively food court with music, lighting, grill smoke and dozens of tables — the evening version is noticeably better than the daytime one. The vibe is far from glossy malls like Central Pattaya: people come here not for luxury shopping but to catch a movie, stock up on imported groceries at Villa Market, or grab a quick, cheap dinner.
Shops and the food court inside run roughly 11am–10pm, the evening street food market kicks off after 5pm and runs late — the best time to visit is evening, after 6pm. Street food runs 60–100 ฿, cocktails from a cart 120–150 ฿. At the Major Cineplex here, a student ticket starts at 69 ฿, and a late show after 9:30pm starts at 99 ฿.
Despite the word “Mall” in the name, this place feels a lot more like a European square, where life revolves around street food and evening hangouts rather than boutiques. Not much point coming here during the day — the best plan is to show up closer to evening.

💡 The main downside — no AC in the common areas. It gets brutally hot during the day, so everyone hides in shops or cafes, and the place looks half-empty and a bit dull.
💡 The evening food court means loud music and crowds. If you're after quiet, this isn't it — the vibe is more market than restaurant.
💡 Parking is free, but finding a car spot at peak hours can be tough. Bikes have it much easier.
💡 There are dedicated disabled parking spots, but regular cars often take them and security doesn't seem to enforce it.
