At a Glance
Thepprasit Night Market is Pattaya’s best-known and probably largest night bazaar, attracting crowds for affordable street food, clothing, and souvenirs.
Place Description
This night market on Thepprasit Road is a bustling hive where the aromas of fried seafood and sweet roti blend with the hum of the crowd. After a recent renovation, it’s cleaner and more organized, featuring clear food court zones with tables and even a two-story parking area. Visitors range from tourists seeking exotic experiences to expats hunting for cheap shorts, and Thai families out for dinner. Its location near the outlet mall and close to Sukhumvit makes it easily accessible.
The atmosphere here is quintessential Thailand. On one side, rows of knock-off brands and mass-produced souvenirs; on the other, a massive food section offering authentic Thai dishes and surprising finds like kebabs or hot dogs. Weekends can be packed, but weekdays are much more relaxed. It’s not a fancy place, but lively, noisy, and very local.

Insider Tips
- Haggling is encouraged for clothing but food prices are usually fixed.
- Parking is packed on weekends. If driving, park at the nearby 7-Eleven or arrive early.
- Some food vendors don’t speak English. Pointing to what you like is the easiest way to order.
- The variety in the clothing section seldom changes. If you’ve been before, expect to see the same items.
Logistics
- Tuk-tuk (Songthaew): The standard 10-baht route doesn’t go here. You’ll need to travel via Sukhumvit and walk a bit, or negotiate a private ride (from 100 ฿).
- Taxi (Bolt/Grab): Search for ‘Thepprasit Night Market’. Access is easy, but Thepprasit Road can be congested during peak hours.
- Private Transport: There’s a large free parking area, including a second floor, but finding a spot on Friday and Saturday evenings is a challenge. Bikes are much easier.
The Unique Factor
This night market on Thepprasit Road was once only a weekend event known as the ‘Weekend Market’. It’s now open every day, but the old name still lingers among locals.
