Description
Unlike the buzzing central coast, the serene wong amat beach offers a completely different vibe. The water here is noticeably clearer and the sand lighter, attracting families with kids and guests from the surrounding high-end beachfront resorts and condominiums. The crowd consists mainly of resort guests and local expats who value their peace and quiet.
However, during the high season and on weekends, things can get a bit crowded, and parts of the shoreline are packed with rental lounge chairs. At low tide, the water recedes quite far, exposing a rocky seabed that makes swimming tricky. Located in Naklua (North Pattaya), near the iconic Sanctuary of Truth, this beach serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the northern neighborhood.

💡 The biggest hassle is the complete lack of public restrooms. You will have to use nearby beachfront cafes or hotel lobbies.
💡 Wednesday is «beach cleaning day» across Pattaya. Sunbeds are cleared out, leaving the beach looking wonderfully wild, and you are free to lay down your own towel wherever you like.
💡 While swimming is excellent at high tide, low tide exposes sharp rocks along the seabed. Check the local tide charts before heading out.
💡 The swimming area is cordoned off with large safety buoys and floating platforms, which might clutter your panoramic ocean shots.
