7-Eleven Ship (7-Eleven Tara Pattaya)

≈25–35 ฿ After sunset 30–45 minutes
“Do not expect an exclusive menu or unique souvenirs inside. The entire magic of this spot relies solely on its ship-shaped exterior and the unique seating area.”

Description

From the outside, the famous 7-eleven ship pattaya (officially known as Tara Pattaya) is a genuine head-turner, designed as a massive liner complete with round portholes and a mock deck. Tour buses regularly pull up here on their way from South Pattaya or after a day on Jomtien Beach. Inside, it’s your familiar neighborhood convenience store, but with a few spacious perks. The ground floor houses the usual grocery aisles, a fresh bakery counter, and a dedicated beverage station, while the second floor is entirely given over to a bright dining area with tables for a relaxed bite.

The honest truth is that, once you step past the grand facade, this giant convenience store feels a lot like any other branch on the block. Local expats point out that the product range is completely standard, with the illusion of scale created mostly by the massive exterior. On the plus side, you get an on-site mini-bakery, clean restrooms, and beautiful evening illumination. The main downsides? Swarms of mosquitoes by the entrance at dusk and a notoriously hard time finding a ride back to the center.

Why visit

A cool photo spot featuring a unique ship-shaped facade, especially beautiful when lit up at night.
A spacious, air-conditioned second floor with dining tables where you can comfortably eat your warmed-up snacks.
A dedicated in-store bakery corner serving fresh pastries and desserts.
A massive free parking lot with plenty of spaces for cars and even EV charging stations.

Insider tips

💡 Free restrooms are available outside and on the second floor, which is a rare find for Thai convenience stores.

💡 Check expiration dates carefully: due to the massive foot traffic, staff sometimes miss spoiled items, and there have been complaints of moldy bread.

💡 No alcohol is sold at this branch, so you will need to look elsewhere for adult beverages.

💡 Bring mosquito repellent, as the parking lot swarms with biting insects after sunset.

How to get there
